Dr. Vinayak Shenoy Publishes Two Research Articles in Frontiers of Physiology

 

Congratulations to Vinayak Shenoy, PhD, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at California Health Sciences University for recently publishing two papers in Frontiers in Physiology, a leading journal in the field of Physiological Sciences.

Dr. Shenoy was the corresponding author for a research article titled “The Selective Angiotensin II Type 2 Receptor Agonist, Compound 21, Attenuates the Progression of Lung Fibrosis and Pulmonary Hypertension in an Experimental Model of Bleomycin-Induced Lung Injury” and he was the co-author for a second research article which was titled “Vascular Endothelial Cell-Specific Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF) Is Necessary for Development of Chronic Hypoxia-Induced Pulmonary Hypertension.”

Dr. Shenoy currently teaches Principles of Drug Action-I and is part of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences at CHSU. He received his Bachelors in Pharmacy from the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Manipal, India. He then received his Master’s degree in Pharmacy from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India before finally earning his PhD at the University of Florida.
